It has been recorded that John Little was sent to boarding school in Geelong at a cost of £800 per annum, a considerable sum in those days. I emailed Geelong Grammar School seeking records of students, and whilst the helpful school historian replied, suggesting it was highly probable that John had been a student at that time, he informed me early records had been lost. As Geelong Grammar was predominantly a boarding school catering for children of parents "on the land" in the outlying areas of Victoria, it is highly likely this is where he attended his higher education.
