Home Page About Us The Beginnings A Lot About A Little Questions we have to Answer John & Susie's Children Stories we have collected NSW Photos Victorian Photos

During the research into my origins I have had a number of setbacks and dead-ends, as most people"doing their family tree" will encounter. But by the process of elimination, and cross referencing you eventually seem to come up with (hopefully) the correct answers. This process led me to believe there were huge gaps in the history and knowledge of John Little's movements following the death of his father in 1864. In the book "A Lot About A Little" it is thought that John spent sometime in partnership with his older brother James, prior to their journey into N.S.W. either together, or independantly.
There was a hidden story encompassed by the date and places of John and Susie's children that had not been explored. My most consuming passion has, however, been the circumstances surrounding John Little's death, and as of todays date 14th January, 2002 I am sure I am as close to the "correct" answer, after many months of enquiries, as I will ever be.

Sometime ago I set myself the following questions:

  1. What was the story behind John's partnership with brother James?

  2. Why were two births registered at Merriwa, N.S.W. prior to being at "Curraweena"?

  3. Why, if John Little owned both "Curraweena" and "Glen Arif", was his occupation shown as Station Manager on his death certificate?    AND

  4. How, if as stated in "A Lot About A Little", John had been at the Goulburn Show did he come to be at Gundagai, to suffer a fatal heart attack and to be buried there?
